St Columba's Catholic Primary School Pedagogy

The pedagogy at St Columba's school takes a centrist approach: a balance of teacher led and enquiry based activity. There is an emphasis on knowledge and skills, enquiry, modelling and demonstration.  We do what is appropriate to meet the needs of the school context and the learner cohort.

We aim to focus on improving subject and pedagogical knowledge to enhance the teaching of the Curriculum and the appropriate use of assessment.
