We are aiming to raise the awareness of the community locally, nationally and globally. The children have been doing lots of activities in their curriculum to find out about different places and the people who live there. The modern language studies have also helped with this. 

The school has recently begun an Etwinning project with a school in Germany. The year 6 children are communicating with children at Schule Schlieben in the Brandenburg region of Germany. We have a mention on their website http://www.schule-schlieben.de/. The children from both schools are sharing information about their school lives, hobbies and cultures and are working towards sending and recieving slideshow presentations about the areas they live in.

Last year we recieved the Foundation level of the International Schools Award. We have now applied for the Intermediate level and are awaiting the results of our hard work.
